Granny Square Garment Class - with Susan Chin
June 7, June 21, 28, July 5, 12, & 19 (note: no class on June 14 for Knit in Public Day, but you can join our all-day knit & crochet drop-in).
Crocheters and knitters, this class is for you if you've ever wanted to combine knit & crochet in a garment! Once you know how to crochet the classic granny square and you’re familiar with the basic 1x1 / 2x2 knitted ribbed stitch, grab your favourite granny square cardigan pattern, hooks, needles and yarn and join us.

Do you already know how to spin but would like to take the next step? Are you intimidated by some of the fibre preps you see and need to conquer your fear? Maybe you have taught yourself how to spin and need some help filling in your knowledge gaps. Maybe you’re afraid of learning to spin finer yarn for fear you will not be able to spin those lovely bulky yarns any longer. This three hour class may be just what you need!
Skill Building: Let's Spin Spirals with Elana Goodfellow

Have you dreamt of beautiful spiral yarns and wished you knew how to spin them? Learn the basic spiral yarn and variations of it as we demystify spinning spirals. We will cover what makes a good spiral yarn, techniques and tips that will help you spin spirals and variations that include the flame spiral and beaded spiral yarns.

Yarn n' Yak
Bring a project to work on, visit with other fibre lovers, and show off some finished projects. If you are taking Saturday morning class, feel free to stay after to continue working on your project - we have a small fridge and microwave in the class area if you'd like to bring lunch, or there are several restraunts in the area.
